ABOUT

2009. Late night in Barcelona. An American tourist goes home with a handsome Spaniard. What begins as a carefree, one-night stand becomes an invitation to danger, as the personal and political catastrophically intertwine.

By turns funny, sexy and surprising, BARCELONA is a seductive thriller that will keep audiences guessing - exploring the fantasy of who we pretend to be, versus the truth of who we are.

With star turns from LILY COLLINS (Emily in Paris, To The Bone, Mank) and ÁLVARO MORTE (Money Heist, Wheel of Time, Immaculate), LYNETTE LINTON directs the West End premiere of BESS WOHL’s explosive play.

BARCELONA is running for 12 weeks only at London’s Duke of York’s Theatre from 21 October 2024 to 11 January 2025.

“I am hugely excited to make my stage debut in Bess’ exciting play, Barcelona. The role of Irene is multi-faceted, and audiences will be taken on a thrilling and tense journey as the play unravels with twists and turns and ends up somewhere unexpected. When I read the script it kept me guessing until the final pages and I’m so excited to share this story on stage with audiences later this year.”
LILY COLLINS

“I am thrilled and honoured to be a part of this captivating new play, marking my West End debut. The London theatre scene is a vibrant and exhilarating canvas for fresh, groundbreaking work. I’m looking forward to bringing 'Barcelona' to life and sharing it with audiences.”
